About me
I'm Brandon, a Product Designer based out of Boston.
I have a range of design experience in different industries, from web apps for mechanical engineers to hardware interfaces for kitchen appliances. No matter the product, I love getting in the heads of end-users and crafting solutions to make their lives better!
When I'm not designing, you can probably find me exploring Boston in search of the best iced latte or attempting to reach my yearly reading goal.
My path to product design
In college, I studied Mechanical Engineering and became a part of an organization on campus that supported student entrepreneurs by making prototypes for their startups. When I learned to conduct user research and saw my designs start to impact people, I became really invested in the human side of creating products instead of just the technical side.
After graduation, I joined the team at SharkNinja as an R&D Engineer. I branched out even more into user-centered work in this role, eventually becoming the UX lead for a brand new countertop oven.
Since then, I've made the transition from hardware to software but continue to use a lot of the same the skills from my past roles. I even use my engineering knowledge in my current role as a UX Designer at aPriori where I work on a manufacturing insights platform for mechanical engineers.
